Getting There: Directions to the Peninsula Nature Trails

From downtown Lake Placid: Head north on Main Street, following the road as it makes a sharp left up the hill. Continue on the Sara-Placid Road for 0.7 miles. Turn RIGHT onto Peninsula Way immediately after the Quality Inn. Follow the narrow, unpaved and bumpy road as it makes a sharp left. The trailhead, with a small unpaved parking area, is located on your left. Look for the Brewster Peninsula Nature Trails sign.

From Saranac Lake and points northwest: From Saranac Lake, take the Sara-Placid Road (NY-86E) toward Lake Placid. Drive for 6.6 miles. Turn LEFT onto Peninsula Way immediately after the Dack Shack. Follow the narrow, unpaved and bumpy road as it makes a sharp left. The trailhead, with a small unpaved parking area, is located on your left. Look for the Brewster Peninsula Nature Trails sign.

From Keene Valley and points southeast: From Keene Valley, head northwest on NY-73 W. Drive 19.1 miles. Turn LEFT onto Main Street at the Sunoco Gas Station. Drive for 0.9 miles through town and follow the road as it makes a sharp left up the hill. Continue on the Sara-Placid Road for 0.7 miles. Turn RIGHT onto Peninsula Way immediately after the Quality Inn. Follow the narrow, unpaved and bumpy road as it makes a sharp left. The trailhead, with a small unpaved parking area, is located on your left. Look for the Brewster Peninsula Nature Trails sign.
