Getting There: Directions to the Heaven Hill Trails

From Lake Placid: From the intersection of Main Street and Sentinel Road, head down Sentinel Road, down the hill past the gas station. At the Adirondack Corner Store, make a slight RIGHT onto Newman Road. Turn LEFT onto Church Street. At the intersection of Church Street and Old Military Road, continue straight onto Bear Cub Road. Drive 2.2 miles. The entrance to the Heaven Hill Trails will be on your RIGHT. Look for the Heaven Hill Trails road sign.

From Saranac Lake and points northwest: From Saranac Lake, take the Sara-Placid Road (NY-86) toward Lake Placid. Drive 4.9 miles. Turn RIGHT onto Old Military Road (County Highway 35). Drive 2.8 miles. Turn RIGHT onto Bear Cub Road (just past the nursing home). Drive 2.2 miles. The entrance to the Heaven Hill Trails will be on your RIGHT. Look for the Heaven Hill Trails road sign.

From Keene Valley and points southeast: From Keene Valley, head west on Route 73. Drive 17.5 miles. On the outskirts of Lake Placid, you will drive over a bridge across the Ausable River and past the ski jumps on your left and the Lake Placid Horse Show grounds on your right. Take a slight LEFT onto Old Military Road (County Highway 35). Drive 0.8 miles. Turn LEFT onto Bear Cub Road. Drive 2.2 miles. The entrance to the Heaven Hill Trails will be on your RIGHT. Look for the Heaven Hill Trails road sign.
